How Date Difference is Calculated

The difference is calculated by converting both dates to milliseconds (Unix time) and taking the absolute difference:

Days = |Date2 − Date1| ÷ (1000 × 60 × 60 × 24)

Weeks = Days ÷ 7. Months = Days ÷ 30.44 (average month length).

Example

From 1 January 2026 to 15 March 2026:

• Weeks: 10.4
• Months: 2.4
